Critical Task 2: Octal Outlet Overload
Next, Zuri must help Octal Outlet. Octal Outlet uses an Octal (Base-8) number system for its internal operations. The outlet’s systems are being overloaded with data from an unknown source. Zuri needs to convert the data coming into the outlet’s system to a base-[latex]10[/latex] system to trace the source of the overload.
By successfully tracing the source of the overload, Zuri has put Octal Outlet back on track.
Critical Task 3: Hexadecimal Hub Hijack
Finally, Zuri has been tasked with cleaning up a hijack of Hexadecimal Hub’s coloring system. The Hexadecimal Hub is noticing strange alterations in their color scheme configurations. They suspect this is from a cyberattack. The colors in their color system are represented using hexadecimal (Base-16) values. Zuri needs to convert the hexadecimal values in the color code to uncover the potential hijack code.
Zuri decided she wants to really impress her boss at her internship by ensuring the security of all three organizations. Zuri decides to synchronize all three systems using a universal security key. However, this key must be given in the system that each organization uses. In order to do so Zuri must convert the universal key to binary, octal, and hexadecimal numbers to give to each organization.
Zuri has done an outstanding job at her internship and has safeguarded the digital space in her area. Way to help her out in completing all of her tasks! Keep honing these skills, as you may have a future career in cybersecurity.
