Complex Graphical Analysis: Learn It 2

Heat Maps Cont.

This type of graphical display is commonly seen in the media. To understand what the graphical display conveys, we will need to be able to infer the type of dataset used to create the graphical display, identify the scale/color used, identify the data source, recognize an accurate interpretation of the graphical display, and write a statement interpreting the graphical display.

Let’s take a look at a couple of heat maps and draw some conclusions.

A map of the US titled Change in the working-age (25 to 54 years old) population from 2007 to 2017. The color of the map ranges from purple to orange, with more purple representing more negative percentages and orange representing more positive percentages.
