The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many changes to our lives since 2020. The World Health Organization stated: “The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents an unprecedented challenge to public health, food systems, and the world of work. The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic is devastating: tens of millions of people are at risk of falling into extreme poverty, while the number of undernourished people, currently estimated at nearly [latex]690[/latex] million, could increase by up to [latex]132[/latex] million by the end of the year.”[1]

COVID-19 vaccines were introduced to the U.S. population at the start of 2021. COVID-19 vaccination helps protect you by creating an antibody response without you having to experience potentially severe illness or post-COVID conditions.[2]
