Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is another way of describing the skill of problem solving. Critical thinking involves using logic and reasoning to analyze issues, make decisions, and solve problems. You are developing your critical thinking skills by taking this and your other classes. This skill involves obtaining, interpreting, and using information to overcome problems. It also involves using some creativity in the process which is sometimes called “thinking outside the box.”[1] On a recent survey of employers, almost 89% indicated that problem solving skills are an attribute that they look for on an applicant’s resume.[2]
