Giving and Getting Feedback
It’s natural to want others’ input to help you improve, but not all feedback is created equal. Sometimes you get wonderful, clear feedback that gives you an idea of exactly what you should change to make your paper effective. Other times… not so much.
In the video below, you’ll hear a perspective on what makes feedback actually helpful—and what to be cautious about. As you watch, think about your own experiences giving or receiving feedback: What made some comments helpful? What made others frustrating or unhelpful? Understanding the difference can help you become a better writer and a better reviewer.
