Movie Trailers as Multimodal Texts

Have you ever thought of a movie—or even just a movie trailer—as a multimodal text? You might not have called it that, but chances are, you’ve felt its impact. Movie trailers combine images, music, dialogue, sound effects, pacing, and written text to grab your attention and shape how you feel, often within just a couple of minutes. These aren’t just random combinations—they’re carefully crafted messages designed to persuade, excite, or emotionally connect with you.
