Basic Searches: Apply It 1

  • Perform a web search using two different search engines.
  • Identify number of results from each search.
  • Open the first web search engine result.

Search the Internet

  1. Open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge) by double-clicking the icon on the desktop.
  2. Make sure the page is on the Google search page. Type in www.google.com in the address bar and press the Enter (or Return) key.
  3. In the google search bar, type in a search for one of the following terms:
    1. cash flow
    2. company culture
    3. income statement
    4. business metrics
  4. Then hit the Enter (or Return) key.
  5. Look at the search results Google returned for your search, then take a screenshot
  6. Save the snip as LastName_SearchInternet.png, replacing “LastName” with your own last name. (Example: Hywater_SearchInternet.png)
